How'd he do that?

The other evening after Jamieson got ready for bed, he wanted to watch his new Bob the Builder movie. So I plugged him in and went upstairs to tidy up the kitchen. When I popped downstairs to check on him, this is what I found.

It was pretty tippy...I have NO idea how he managed to climb up there without knocking down his tower. Maybe he used his toy box? All I know was that he was awfully proud of his "castle tower", but he needed my help to get down afterwards. I guess the way up was easier than the way down.

Heh...just previewed this, and I think I better get some quality H2O into that plant in the corner.

The Montague Legion Scene...

I hear my little bro is playing there this Saturday night. You should go :)

Snow

Woke up to a bunch of it yesterday morning. Jamieson didn't seem to care either way if he got to go out in it or not, so we dragged him outside anyway.

Here's Mr. Snowfreak (half of his head was gone this morning...he's meellllltinnggg.)

And now for something cute as a button. My niece, Maggie. Mom won't let me call her MooMoo anymore because she's scared it'll stick. Heck, I called Jamieson "Turkey" for over a year, and no one calls him that now...I think I'll still call her moomoo sometimes ;)

Isn't she the sweetest? Even if she DID come from Dwayne the pain.

Well, he surprised me.

On Friday afternoon I took him to the clinic for his flu shot, and he did not go apeshit. We only had to wait about 5 minutes before the nurse called us over. She chatted Jamie up for a bit, and then let him pick out a Spongebob bandaid. She even had him giggling when she wiped his arm with the swab. Then she whispered for me to hold him tightly, and she said to him "Ok, sweets, you're going to have a little owie." And then Jamieson froze, and said "owie, Owie, OWIE, OWIE, OWIEEE!" Just like that, lol. No tears...he didn't tear the place apart, and the sky didn't fall. I'm still in shock, really.

Then he wanted a sucker from my purse, and he sat on my knee and made me hold his arm. I'm pretty sure he thought it was the bandaid that was hurting him though, because he kept asking me to take it off. So after a bit I tried to peel it off him, which of course hurt, so he hollered at me to "Leave it!". Bossy little pup. Here's a pic of him at home...I told him he was a very brave, big boy so he showed me his muscles and his mean face. Scary.

I'm dreading this afternoon...

I have to take Jamieson to the flu shot clinic at 4:15. This is NOT going to go well. As bad as it's going to be today, it's going to be far, far worse on December 10th when he has to go in for the booster. How the heck am I going to get him through the door then?

It's hard to believe a whole year's gone by since we lost Grandad. We sure do miss him. I was thinking about him during the minute of silence yesterday, and I remembered when I was little how I used to hunt him down every day for my "allowance". He'd give me 50 cents a day...if I managed to catch up with him :) . If I didn't see him, the two quarters didn't carry over to the next day, because it was my responsibility to collect. I remember once when he was gone to NS deer hunting, I went to the store and tried to talk Lorne Brehaut into fronting me some candy money until Grandad got back. Lord, I must've been a pest :). Every time Grandad gave me the money he'd tell me to save it until I had enough to get something big. Yeah right...when there's bins of penny candy just around the corner? Not a chance. heh.

"Mommy! Wake up!"

"I'm going to Alma's today, yeah?" That's what he said bright and early every morning this weekend. I made the mistake of telling him on Friday night that he was going to Alma's for the whole week. Live and learn.

On Friday evening, Billy got home from work and said he was asked to work days this week. Funny thing is, his boss is the sitter's son in law...guess he's drumming up some business for her, hey? :) Jamieson was tickled that he was going to get to go there and play with his "best friend, Sean".

So this morning I got to drop him off for the first time, and the little booger didn't even say goodbye. He just threw off his jacket and boots and marched up the stairs like he owned the place. It's great that he doesn't kick up a stink....kinda.

Mommy...I bited my tongue!

When I got to Alma's after work, he came running to me...motor mouth running on high...and told me he had a "great day" playing with his new friends. Alma said he behaved really well, and he and another little guy, Sean, played together all day. I asked him if he had fun, and he said he did, but that he bit his tongue eating a hot dog (maybe if he stopped flapping it all the time, it might not get in the way). I shouldn't joke though, because I took a look at it and he must've given it a heck of a chomp...looks awfully sore.

Before he conked out on the ride home (after all of about 2 minutes), he told me that he "wants to go back there when it's a brand new day". Sheesh, he could've missed us just a little.

My only hope now is that he stays asleep for the night, otherwise I'll be up forever and there's nothing good on tv.

First day at the sitter's

Today is Jamieson's first day with a sitter who isn't a family member. I'm surprisingly excited for him! Billy was asked to work early today and tomorrow, so I called Alma, the lady who cared for Lucas and Alyssa this past summer, and she agreed to take him for the next couple of days.

I'm sure he'll get along really well, and hopefully once Billy sees that he did he'll try to get his work hours switched to days so he can get a normal life back. With his working evenings, it was great that he could stay home with Jamieson for most of the day, but it'd be really nice for Jamie to have TWO parents home together every evening instead of just on weekends. I've noticed the last while that he's been very excited to have us with him together...he's always hugging us together and saying "Mummy, Daddy and Jamieson! We're a family!". It's adorable, even though it's got to have Barney written all over it. Bah, I hate that freaky purple dinosaur.

Oh, here's one more Halloween picture...of the aftermath.
Chocolate and Cheezies = one messy kid.

"Moo."

That's what Jamieson says when he's wearing his cow costume. A very dry "Moo." Cracks me right up. He had a great time last night on his third Halloween. His daddy took him trick or treating to our relatives and neighbours. "Trick or Treat. Moo." heh. He was SO excited to ring his OWN doorbell and ask his mum for candy...the grin says it all.

Fall pictures

What a fun time of year for Jamieson...and a crappy time of year for Billy. Billy rakes the leaves into piles...and Jamie jumps in 'em :)

Here are a few I managed to catch with the digicam. They were taken on Oct 30.

The only way I could entice Jemma to sit with him was to bury her baseball in the pile...this pic was snapped about 2 seconds before she started digging for it...she was a good dog to sit for as long as she did.

He had a thing for his Spiderman doll that day. I guess he figured Spidey would get bored inside the house while we were outside playing...dunno, but I had to dig for that darn doll ...action figure I'm supposed to call it I guess... for quite a few minutes when he got 'buried alive'.

I've got a few Halloween pics of him, but haven't unloaded the digicam yet. Will probably have them tomorrow.
