Oaklawn Farm Zoo

On Sunday we had planned on going to the zoo in Moncton and then home by the bridge, but at the wedding someone told us that the Oaklawn Farm Zoo was just as good or better. We decided to go there and then home on the ferry again.

Jamieson thought it was awesome...his favourite part was the 'grumpy monkey' that was eating corn and then went into his little house and slammed the door.

I think this is the zoo that took in those two Siberian tigers (Bonnie & Clyde?) that us Islanders drove outta town. I think maybe Clyde has since kicked the bucket though...he wasn't there anyway.

The animals I liked the best were the little baby pygmy goats that were wandering around...gosh they were adorable. There's a pic below of Jamieson petting one. Right after he fed him some grass, he (or maybe the goat next to him) squeezed through the fence and was wandering around with the rest of the little ones. Of course, the lions were enclosed in the area right next to it....however, there wasn't one of them that looked like it could get out of it's own way, so I'd say the goats were pretty safe.

Can you believe it?

We actually left the Island. Well, for two days and one night. heh.

We had a wedding to go to in Windsor (Congrats again, Ken & Beth), so we decided to take the ferry. Jamieson loved it!

I don't know where Billy thought we were going, but for some ungodly reason he decided we *needed* to catch the 6:30 a.m. crossing. *yawn*
